Discovery Research: Fieldwork "Traditional" Ethnography Research

Introduction:

Responsible as a fieldwork leader (qualitative researcher) for an ethnography project in which the distinctive herbs of a community were explored. The main goal was for herbal alternative medicine to penetrate into medical care and be certified. This study figured out user and practitioner experience in term of healing and receive the service.

Methods:

I conducted field research, ethnographic, participatory observation on the Sawang community in Belitung, Indonesia. A study of traditional knowledge systems is presented to highlight its potential theoretical and methodological contributions in ethnopharmacology.


Result:

The results of this investigation were organized and arranged as shown in table indicating the scientific names and families of the plants, the common and vernacular names of the plants, the parts used, and the diseases cured by the plants.
